Mardin looks beautiful! Love the pic of the church for your Mom! :)
ReplyDeleteI see the prison pose in the tomb, that's mighty Oz of you. Whats up with the watercolor though? Don't forget to check my blog; I just put some stuff up that I'm sure you can appreciate.
ReplyDeletei had to do the pose like that, cus the space was really low...and i set my camera for automatic timing since i was the only person on that side of the necropolis. i'm bout to check out ur blog as soon as i post my watercolors
ReplyDeletethat one pic w/ the tower and no comment. kinda beautifully phallic, no? lmao
ReplyDeleteTsai, i do agree with your observation (as are most monuments in architecture).
ReplyDeletebut more importantly, i'll take this time to say that i've always admired your rhetoric. (even when you are an artist who critiques my artistic-ish **i know you can think of the word that goes here cus i can't right now...it's something like 'attempts'** your use of words astounds me to the point of disregarding their actual content and meaning...lol
i wonder why arent there more beautifully vulval monuments? i guess it could be because they always happen naturally- behold the grand canyon in its epically vulval grandeur... heee
ReplyDeletei'm a big fan of your work, well of you in general, but u knew that. =) and i always enjoy our dialogue =)
on second thought, i guess it just depends on which orthographic view you take of said object.
ReplyDelete-a 'front view' of the minaret from that mosque does look-- how did you say?-- beautifully P. well, if one were to take a 'top view' of that same minaret, it would actually look fairly M. (if you can tell me what 'M.' stands for, you get a special prize).
-a 'front view' of the grand canyon would look something like this: __________ . it isn't until one takes a 'top view' that it reveals its V. grandeur.
(yes, i knew that, and of course it is mutual. i too, always enjoy our dialogue)
mammary. too easy ;)
ReplyDeletelmao at the... ehem...elevation? of the grand canyon. BUT i beg to differ.
i'd have to say, |||||||||{______}||||||||||| is a more accurate representation, unless _________ is the "inside" view. i mean, it's only a canyon if it has walls... and i'd argue it'd look even more grandly vulval from that angle.
i want my prize.
yes, it is an elevation...your knowledge of such terms astounds me...even though you are an artist.
ReplyDeletebut you are absolutely wrong about how it would look. an elevation would look more like i've depicted it...a section would look more as you depicted.
your prize would be something that we've discussed earlier, i believe it was a conversation on skype. but i'll hit u up on facebook with the details.
CONGRATULATIONS!
